Watsu

Watsu is a form of Aquatic Therapy that promotes deep relaxation while providing profound benefical effects. Aquatic Therapy relieves acute pain, enhances blood and lymphatic flow, activates neuro-pathways for healing, and decompresses the spine and joints; inducing relaxation, improving Sleep and Energy.  Aquatic Therapy relieves chronic pain due to Sciatica, Stroke,  Neurological issues, Parkinson’s, PTSD, Fibromyalgia, Surgery Stress – Alleviates Trauma Symptoms. Given in a 94°F warm Jacuzzi, combines most all bodywork; e.g., Thai, Shiatsu, Reflex, Cranio-Sacral, etc.  In water, the spine moves freely as the body is suspended in gravity, enhancing the benefits of applied bodywork.  The relaxation of tension in the spine and musculature improves tone and functioning of the body and organs.  

Kim L. Hartz (WatsuKim), Certified WABA (Worldwide Aquatic Bodywork Assn.) Watsu® Instructor.   Kim, a former instructor & therapist at Two Bunch Palms Resort & Spa for 20 years performing healing bodywork and Watsu® has recently joined the Parkinson‘s Resource Organization Wellness Village, a not-for-profit (501c3) organization, providing Aquatic Therapy and AquaYoga for PRO clients and their Caregivers.  Kim also works as a Wave Academy Instructor/Practitioner providing Watsu for Veterans with PTSD.  Kim pursued her passions and became an Instructor in Watsu®, which she has been practicing for the past 15 years.  She has been an Instructor for 7 years holding classes for Two Bunch, Spas & Wave Academy; as well as teaching Watsu®, Aqua Reflex, Qigong and Massage on retreats in Bali. Thailand, & Hawaii.  Kim feels teaching aqua/bodywork tools gives people the Choice and Power to help family & themselves.  As an instructor, she shares knowledge with laughter, guiding students in the exploration of therapy & themselves.
